Botox ®

Botox is a purified toxin injected into dynamic wrinkles - wrinkles caused by movement. It temporarily paralyzes the overactive muscles that cause the wrinkles, giving a smoother, softer, more relaxed appearance. It is used in areas such as the frown lines between the brows, wrinkles on the forehead, and crow's feet.

Is it safe?
Botox has been safely used worldwide to treat a variety of conditions for more than ten years. It is FDA-approved for the treatment of frown lines. 

How long does it last?
Results last about four months, after which the lines gradually recur.

Will my face lose expression?
Botox injections are carefully tailored to each patient's facial lines and contours to avoid an expressionless look. Since only Dr. Black administers Botox injections, the result will reflect a natural look that will subtly turn back the hands of time.

What can I expect?
Treatment takes only a few minutes and discomfort is minimal. Within a week you will see a marked decrease in facial lines and wrinkles. The most common side effect (though rare) is temporary drooping of an eyelid or eyebrow.
